Xaver's in Munich

My first visit was also my last. Bad, slow service, you had to bring pepper and salt to the table yourself. Indisputable wannabe dandruff.

The roast pork is a sensation and if you feel like something sweet you can choose between the Mousse Au Chocolat Nocken or the Kaiserschmarrn. With the meal there are great wines for fair prices or an Augustiner on tap. Tradition is very important and at the same time everything is interpreted sympathetically into the modern age. Fortunately, you can also order your food to take away during the Corona Lockdown. 5/5 stars !!!!

For me the complete evolution of the pub culture. Great food, fantastic team, insane selection of great sparkling wines and wines! Beer is clear anyway, because Wirtshaus ... for me the only new, coherent and young concept that is actually family-run and works with employees who have been part of the family for years! For me the biggest cinema and a must for everyone! Once here it becomes a regular inn anyway! Chapeau!

Bavarian cosiness pure. Delicious food, also for vegetarians and vegans, can be found on the menu. Good wine selection and active, friendly service.

I think it's a cheek to be able to reserve a table only for 2.5 hours, but if the waiter points this out 45 minutes before the time runs out and he comes after another 10 minutes without being asked to cash in, then it's for me an impudence. We were five people and did NOT choose the cheapest main course with a little still water. In terms of service, the GUEST SHOULD be king, not the other way around. Goodbye forever

My own experience there was just bad in every way. Sorry, but this review is just my opinion on last Friday's visit. I have no idea, but I've rarely been served so carelessly. Food was average and OK. The boss was always nice on my last visits and was therefore more of an exception.

First visit on Sunday noon. Hats off. Great food, great service and all hygiene rules adhered to. Thank you for the nice stay with you. We felt very comfortable.

We had a wonderful evening and have not been so satisfied after visiting a restaurant in Munich for a long time: very good food, great wine list, very attentive service and an overall relaxed atmosphere. Gladly again!

Great restaurant with very tasty food. Great schnitzel that was spot on. The other dishes are also very fresh and invite you to enjoy them. Beautiful interior design that invites you to linger. The prices are high, but the quality is reasonable. Staff is very friendly too.

Good Bavarian cuisine with a nice atmosphere. The portions are normal and the staff are very nice. I like to sit outside here, but I can also make recommendations for parties in a cozy atmosphere. The owners always try hard to please the guest. ??A clear recommendation from me.

Bavarian and international. You can sit outside. Had gazpacho, bread, ceviche. Gazpacho had a nice heat, the bread was excellent, and the ceviche was very good too, if not as expected. It was slightly yellow in color, maybe from turmeric? Centrally located, just a few steps from the Viktualienmarkt, in a quiet side street. Parking garage at the Isartor just around the corner, as well as the S-Bahn, U-Bahn and tram. Bavarian and international dishes. Outdoor seating area. Had gazpacho, bread, and ceviche. Gazpacho had a nice kick to it, the bread was out of this world, and the Ceviche was good, too, though unelected in that it had a yellowish color, maybe from turmeric? Centrally located, only steps from Viktualienmarkt, in a quiet side street. Parking garage at Isartor is around the corner, as are public transport S- and U-Bahn, and Tram.

Delicious Käsespätzle, friendly service

Honestly, there are countless Augustiner beer houses in Munich. Perhaps this is the number20 I come across. Located in a posh area with a lot of boutiques this restaurant is often packed with stylish locals. This reminds me a bit of Chiswick in London. Food is great, portions are big as usual ( so I strongly suggest you order a small portion instead of normal, if you are a small person like me) and the waitress are very child-friendly and smiley.

Nice authentic restaurant where not many tourists but locals come. Friendly staff who walk around in typical Bavarian clothing. Reasonable prices and good food.

I love to come back here again and again. Fast and friendly service, good food and drinks. In the current situation, however, I would find it appealing if some waiter would not only wear his mask under his chin.

Spent a few hours in Xavers yesterday before Bayern Munich v Spurs , Beautiful Bavarian themed Place , Food and Drink was amazing and Staff were first Class , made us so welcome , Will Go back to Munich and visit with my wife take her to Xavers , Must go to place .

Lederhosen clad waiters serve homecooked typical German fare and desserts (don't miss the cooked to order kaiserschmarrn), as well as a decent selection of deutsche biere in a warm, rustic, wooden tabled restaurant. Quite pricey but excellent food and friendly staff.

I have been to Xaviers, 3 times. Service is great, Beer is fresh and delicious, Alternative drink menu is good, Food is fantastic, smaller portions but better quality than others. Good place to take visitors to Munich, especially if they have dietary requirements as there are delicious alternatives to beef, pork and alcohol. Both outside and inside are fantastic. The inside is less cramped than most other restaurants of this type. I would recommend this place for groups and not couples. Only criticism is that the lunch menu is a bit restrictive.

Good and inexpensive beer!! We are visiting from America and they were friendly and spoke English to us, which was very much appreciated.

Last year when in Munich we visited this place and the standards have not dropped this year enjoyed a pleasant lunch outside the only difference was we were not plagued by pesky wasps brilliant

Great food, very helpful and attentive staff. They made us feel very welcome throughout our visit. The food is also reasonably priced. If you are looking for a quite spot for lunch then pop by and enjoy.

Location was interesting and the crowd nice but the waitstaff was ridiculously bad mannered and unhelpful.

My son Chippy found this place for our first dinner. It was nothing short of totally amazing. We tried the trout ceviche, lamb chops with ratatouille, roasted pork, trout skewer and their version of fried chicken (tenders in my land). Topped it all off with hand made chocolate mousse scooped from a copper kettle, sooo good!!! Either way, this place is worth finding! Don’t miss it!

Great baverian food and beer! Service has gotten a bit slower than it used to be but the food most definitely makes up for that. Great place for a meal with close friends or visitors from out of town.
